In four recent orchestral concerts I heard music by Boulez, Ades, Nono, Reich, Stravinsky, Bartok, and Schoenberg. The colours in Schoenberg's '5 Pieces for Orchestra', were a revelation to me, but so far what I have written has been inspired by the minimalist tonalities from the Ades and Reich concert.
